Bio

I am Associate Professor of History and NLI (Networked Learning Initiatives) Faculty Fellow at Virginia Tech. I write about space dogs and am interested in how animals and inter-species relationships shaped the human past. I am developing connected courses in Russian-Soviet history and culture, animal studies and digital history. I also work with faculty to create, utilize and leverage networked learning environments.
